Post Season 2009 Indoor Practice in 2010 will be at Dollar Academy starting on Thursday 7th January then every week until 25th March. Juniors from 7 pm till 8pm, seniors from 8pm until 10pm . Contact this site for further details. Saturday 5th December Pre-Christmas Dinner, cancelled sorry. Thursday 3rd December The club AGM was held at the Arns. The main point was, that after holding membership fees static for four years our current financial position led to a motion (from the floor) to increase the membership fees by 10%. A club Pool competition wasn't held on Friday 20th thanks to the five guys who DID turn up..............for those who said they would but didn't............well it was raining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Saturday 7th November. A meeting of the CCCC Railway club was held at the Arns at 7.30pm. A good attendance of railheads enjoyed several local rail videos and some interesting discussion. Friday 6th November The Junior Quiz night was a great success, thanks to Linda Ross, quiz compere Marie Campbell and Alison Ramsay for her talk on playing for the club and for Scotland. Thanks also to Morven Ross for the Quiz powerpoint. Belated congratulations to Morven Ross who has become one of Cricket Scotlands apprentices and will work with Forth Valley schools and clubs. Morven has also just achived her UKCC level one coaching certificate at Cricket Scotlands Cricket Academy in Edinburgh. Well done Morven. Saturday 31st October The Quiz night at the Arns was well attended. Thanks to Graham Fraser for all his hard work and to those present for creating such a happy and relaxed atmosphere. Thanks are also due to the winners - (a players team no less!!) the "Beer & crisps" for donating their prize money to the club. Saturday 11th April starting at 10am the final touches which need to be done to the nets, your help would be much appreciated. You can also use this opportunity to pay your membership and get registered. AND for a change the weather is looking good. Tuesday 14th April A chance for those who couldn't make it to register on the 2nd to sort it out. Hopefully with work on the nets completed over the weekend, full practice facilities will be available. (please, don't leave it to the usual suspects to do all the work, it's your club, come down and help at the weekend.) Thursday 9th April. Practice will be dependant on the weather, more help is needed this weekend to make the net area playable. In the mean time, the nets cannot be used. Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th April. Groundwork weekend. Yep! two days, due to the huge amount of work required on the nets and other bits and pieces. If it doesn't get done then no practice facilities. It's up to you, don't expect everyone else to cover for you, if you can make it we start at 10am, no matter what the weather. Thursday 2nd April There will be a players meeting on Thursday 2nd of April to discuss the details of the coming season, to allow registration to be completed for the leagues and to give players the chance to pay their membership before the games begin on 18th April. Thanks to Graham Fraser and his team for making this event such a success. Monday 23rd February Committee meeting at the Arns for 7.00 pm. The new bar convenor is seeks members to do part time bar duties. The club intends to put in place bar staff training in preparation for the changes in the licencing laws which come into force on 1st September. Any member interested in being trained to work the bar, on an occasional basis, please contact James Cox or this site. Nominations for third team captain, any member who would like to nominate a player for the vacant 3rd team captains position for 2009 should contact Jim Pennycook or contact this site. Thursday 29th January Committee meeting at the Arns at 7.00 pm. James Cox was appointed bar convenor at the meeting on the resignation of Alan Oliver. After the meeting Alan Oliver gave the secretary a letter indicating his resignation from the bar convenor and 3rd team captain posts and also from helping with the junior coaching. The clubs thanks to Alan for his work in these areas over the last few years. Next meeting Monday 23rd February at 7.00pm Friday 23rd January Railway evening. Indoor Junior coaching starts this week, honest, in Tullibody Civic Centre from 7 until 9 pm. Senior coaching from 9 until 10 pm. This arrangement will continue every week until 25th March. Thursday 15th January Junior committee meeting at 7.30 at the Arns Wednesday 14th January Problems with the booking mean that the Indoor junior practice will begin on the 21st at Tullibody Civic Centre at 7pm until 9 pm. The Club apologise for the late notice of this and having to start a week later, sorry guys. Practice will be every Wednesday evening until the 25th March.
