Wednesday 28th April Committee Meeting at The Arns at 7.30 pm.

Sunday 25th April 3rd XI v Strathearn at The Arns on the artificial start time 1.00pm. Cancelled rain early morning, pitch and surrounds too slippy. Sorry again guys.

Saturday 24th April.. 2nd XI v Broomhall 2 at The Arns on the artificial start time 1.00pm. Broomhall 111 ao.(C Stoddard 29, N Ramsay 6 for 18). Clackmannan 112 for 0 (R Passe 45, K Hutchison 45). Scorecard Report It's always nice to see past players visiting the club and on Saturday we were delighted to see Jack Brown (93 years young) at the Arns.

Congratulations to Sarah McCann for an excellent display for the U13 Forth Valley Area squad at Arbroath - Player of the match in the last game - more details later. Wickets & runs, eat your heart out Jamie!!! However brother Jamie McCann played his part in the Forth Valley U17 squads win against West at Stirling - more details later.

Saturday 17th April 1st XI v Strathmore at The Arns on the artificial Strathmore 151 for 9, Clackmannan 153 for 6. Score report 2nd XI practice at the Arns then a team discussion in the bar..........

Tuesday 13th April Senior Outdoor practice begins at the Arns from 6.30 till 8.30pm.

Monday 12th April. Junior Committee meeting at the Arns at 7.30 pm

Friday 9th April The club has been given the sad news that Alistair Dowell passed away around 5pm whilst in his garden at home. Further details will emerge in due course.  He would have been 90 years young on the 17th May. JDH

Tuesday 6th April & Thursday 8th April Player registration nights. On Tuesday there will be a chance to register and pay your membership and it is hoped to hold a short players meeting to discuss things like match fees, club clothing and to elect a third team captain to replace the injured Tippu.

Saturday 3rd April/Sunday 4th April. Groundworks day - the raising of the nets and general ground stuff required for the forthcoming season. If your not rolling your Easter eggs please come along and help. Start time around 10.00 am - even if you can only manage for a short time, every extra pair of hands helps and practice can't start until the deed is done.

Friday 26th March Quiz night at The Arns. Another very successful quiz night thanks to quizmaster Graham Fraser. The winning team (by a clear 8 points) Atrophied Brains who donated their prize money to the club. Thanks to all who took part and all the smiling faces.....

Tuesday 16th March A massive thank you to Sandy Scotland and Tom Rutherford for an excellent introduction to umpiring course on Tuesday night. The 36 players and coaches from the local clubs who attended all found the information and discussion really useful.

Monday evening coaching. from March 1st, every Monday until March 29th The club in conjunction with Clackmannanshire Sports Development and Sports Central will be coaching at Alloa Academy (the new one) between 6 pm and 7pm. The course is for Primary school beginners to cricket there are posters in all the Primary schools about these events.

The Tesco vouchers for Schools/sport scheme is restarting soon and the club is going to collect vouchers so if/when you are offered vouchers please bring them to the club. Thank You.

Introductory Umpiring course. There will be a one evening Umpiring course run by Sandy Scotland under the auspicies of Cricket Scotland and ESCA on Tuesday 16th March at the Arns beginning at 7.00pm. There is no charge for the course and it is open to all local Central Scotland clubs, coaches, players and volunteers. If you are interested please contact; this site, Kari Anderson 01324 590720 e-mail andersonk@sportscentral.org.uk or contact Bob. This course will be on a first come first served basis so a quick call is recommended. The course lasts about two to two and a half hours.

Pavilion painting help needed to paint both the weatherboarding and the white bits, speak to Ken Hutchison to help out. Details.

Several-a-side football is still ongoing at Alloa Academy ( astro-turf) on Monday evenings from 8 till 9 pm. £3, pay before you play - freeloaders will be named and shamed!!!

28th January The changes to the ESCA fixtures have been made, there are still some friendlies etc to be confirmed but the bones of the 2010 season weekend fixtures are here.

Thursday 14th January Junior indoor at Dollar Academy 7 pm till 8 pm. Senior indoor at Dollar Academy 8 pm till 10 pm.

Indoor Practice in 2010 will be at Dollar Academy started on Thursday 7th January then every week until 25th March. Juniors from 7 pm till 8pm, seniors from 8pm until 10pm . Contact this site for further details.
