The first route learner run returns from Alloa. Sorry about the video quality, but I wasn't expecting him to be going like a bat out of Hell on the first run. 2/4/08 11.35am

There I was minding my own, fixing the gangmowers when along came the first train to Alloa in 40 years - Driver training has begun. Rumour had it the first train would be on Monday 31st March at about 10.15. The first train past the Arns was on Wednesday 2nd April at 11.00. Picture of the cab, yeah, I know the pictures are "crepe" but I was working and only got one sound of the horn to warn me, so - no video , no sound.

The return of the second train at about 12.15? Again so quiet that it's there before you know it..... at least that's my excuse. 31/3/2008 The first frieght train from Hunterston to Longannet - (pronounced Long-annet NOT Long gannet) on Saturday 5th April 3.52pm Travelling at a fair old lick - putting trust in the trackwork first time through.

The 'allo Alloa special at 12.14 on 25/8/2008 - blasted bush! Class 37's? headlamp failure, yep! it's just about dark enought to need lit up. Class 60 doing the needful. Same train, 60100 (didn't that used to be" Spearmint" Norman McKillops A1 engine?) On duty on a miserable wet day, just like the last three weeks actually. The first Freightliner green machine from Longannet/Chalmerston 66583 - clean 'aint it!

A tractor from DRS 37604 doing the route learning thing, with what sounds suspiciously like a flat!! Pretty scabby looking altogether really
