Umpiring Course! [03/02/12]

Thought this may be on interest to people interested in umpiring courses. I received the e-mail today at some point, here it is (I've just copy and pasted it in a feat of laziness):

Introduction to Umpiring
Players are keen to go on short Umpires' courses, and one has been arranged in Edinburgh on March 29, and another in Glenrothes on March 22. They last two hours and are FREE.

Level 1 Umpiring
There is also a level 1 course arranged - this is a more intensive course for those who intend to umpire regularly, and there is an exam at the end of it. It is really intended for those who want to umpire regularly.  Sandy needs to know numbers well in advance in order to get course materials so people should register with leatsui@cricketscotland.com by 10th Feb at the latest.

The dates of the level 1 are Saturday 10th, Sunday 11th, Sunday 18th March at Cricket Scotland MES Sports Centre 11am to 5pm.

Stats Update! [22/01/12]

Just a heads up that Ando has been doing some more work on his massive stat book, documenting the Clacks stats throughout history. The book can be found here. A quick update within an update as well to remind you of the two upcoming social events going on at the club. These events being the Battlefield Talk being held this Friday and the Burn's supper being held in the middle of February. For more details, see the events page. Sports First Aid [21/01/12]

Sports First Aid course is Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th January 2012, the course will be 9.30 - 3.30 each day. 
The venue will be the PE Classroom, Alva Academy. 

The course covers all aspects of general first aid in a sport and health environment as well as the rehabilitation of athletics and fitness participants. You will learn emergency first aid and also advanced aid for individuals suffering from sporting injuries. The course gives an insight into how to manage injuries and the best practices how to prevent such injuries occurring.
