Match Report

This game was never going to be easy. To play the top of the league club with both opening bowlers pulled into the 1st XI at short notice, the captain injured, players on holiday etc etc. Still,l excuses, excuses!! Alison Ramsay won the toss and had no real choice but to bat. Wickets fell far too regularly to provide the confidence this inexperienced side required and they were all out for 65. Special mention for Richard Passe whose dogged innings of 18 showed the way to play to complete the allotted overs. All out in 34.2 overs give little chance of even a draw. Largo made the runs with the loss of only two wickets. A learning experience for the younger players, a game the more experience might want to forget.
