Match Report

Clackmannan won the toss and batted first the two openers Neil Ramsay and Richard Passe got the side of to a steady start before Passe was bowled by Colin Manson in the 7th over. Mohamed Khalid started the fireworks with a quick fire 36 before centre stage was taken by Ash Rasul who batted through the rest of the innings makaing 87 not out. He was ably supported by Tipu Sultan who scored 22. Best of the Stirling bowlers were Colin Manson and Duncan Sutherland. Final total for Clackmannan 205 for 8. Stirling started well wiith young Fraser Kulwhim top scoring with 20. The Stirling guys all pitched in but could not compete with the Clackmannan total. 133 for 9 being the final total. The Alloa bowlers, all eight of them, played a part with Zahid Rasul and Alan Oliver taking two wickets each. A win for Alloa, but an enjoyable game played in good spirit made cricket the real winner.
